Wilson is a graduate with honors from the University of Toronto in Mississauga (UTM) in Political Science. Not content with that achievement, he continued on to obtain a graduate degree from the same university but this time at the Master’s level in International Relations. He was active with the Canadian Hispanic Congress, first as a researcher and later occupying positions in the National Executive up to the level of National Secretary. Meanwhile, he continued to serve the public in different areas of government. He was appointed Chairman of the Board of Referees of the Employment Insurance Commission for several years. His fascination with interpreting and translation became a reality when he set up his own business as an English/Spanish interpreter/translator where he later obtained several accreditations, at the national and international level. Wilson was accredited by the Ministry of the Attorney General of Ontario as a court interpreter and has been able to serve the public from that position of trust ever since. Apart from this title, he is also a Certified Court Interpreter by the Association of Translators and Interpreters of Ontario (ATIO) and a Candidate for Certification by the United States Courts, all of these in the English/Spanish combination. He was also accredited by the Translations Bureau in Ottawa as a Spanish/English translator and has a wide portfolio of clients in the Canadian business world. As of this moment, and since 2009, he has strengthened his career goals by serving the public as a Contract Spanish interpreter for the Ministry of the Attorney General in the Grenville and Davis courthouse in Brampton, Ontario. He holds a system-wide accreditation for all levels of the Justice system.
